Pool centers are often open all day—and there are a lot of them—naturally sustaining a healthy demand for suitable lifeguards. Each year we fill a considerable number of seasonal positions that open up as our returning guards advance. Houston and its surrounding suburbs cover a vast amount of land, so the scale of the lifeguarding industry in the summer is respectably large. Several of our facilities are an nearly an hour's drive from one-another. Accommodations for employment in a community that's nearby can usually be made.
Lifeguard support staff play key roles in ensuring the smooth churn of our business. Consider the assertive leader types, skilled instructors, stellar handy-workers, and an office crew who work together behind the scenes each year. Many opportunities to develop your talent exist in this industry; any questions about posted listings should be directed to our office. Contact information can be found at the very bottom of this page.
First, review carefully the context of this page; you'll find information about our training prerequisites and training programs. Our employment application process is handled online. After you're done with the job application, we encourage you to send in a resume. Guarantee of hire should not be assumed from the act of filling out a form on this website.

QAPM requires that all lifeguards hired for the 2012 season must attend a single-day season preparation class. Orientation class is geared toward all employees hired without any prior experience. Lifeguards returning this year, or those who have prior experience only need to attend the refresher class.
You will only need to attend orientation or a refresher, not both. Unlike the training programs, these classes do not cost anything to attend.
Be prepared to enter the water on the day of your orientation or refresher class.| Class | Location | Date |
